Personal Assistant to the CEO
As Action for Asperger’s personal assistant to management, I provide support with all administrative tasks. I am a seasoned personal assistant with over 25 years of experience in the field including the medical industries.
As an experienced administrator, having worked for many years in a variety of industries including the charity sector, my role within Action for Asperger’s entails managing and maintaining our Case Management System, ensuring all current client files are kept up to date and accurate, as well as providing additional general administrative support.
Educationalist - BA, MSc Special Ed, PGC Autism
I’m a qualified teacher and I have a master’s in special education – working in the field for close to thirty years. I was drawn to an autism specialism due to personal experiences with a son, nephew, and friends on the spectrum. I currently cover all external training requests and in-school support and assessments.
I have worked in finance for 18 years; through which time I’ve got married and had a family. Having met the charities accountants and set up my own accountancy company, I started to work for Action for Asperger’s in 2016 as the bookkeeper. My role has developed over the years, as the charity has grown from strength to strength, and given me great experience.
Safeguarding Lead - MA BEd Dip SH
I have been Safeguarding Advisor in three local authorities, providing training, advice and guidance to schools, police, and health and social care professionals. I was also an assistant head teacher in a secondary school where I line-managed the SENDCO team. The school integrated 350+ students with additional needs. I also regularly deliver internet safety workshops to children and young people with ASD and other needs.
