Autistic Empathy App

Autistic Empathy App

A space for finding companionship between like-minded individuals as well as people who can give the empathic understanding many not only seek, but deserve.

How does the app work ?

Autistic Empathy is an app designed for 17+ individuals who identify as having Autism or Asperger’s Syndrome. It provides a space for finding companionship between like-minded individuals as well as people who can give the empathic understanding many not only seek, but deserve. Some of the benefits of using the app include:

  • It is completely free to use
  • Members are all verified
  • Designed, built and managed by Autism specialist therapists
  • Safety first with clear meeting guidelines

Apps designed for all neuro-types cannot cater to Asperger’s/Autistic individuals enough and the risk of potential harm that comes with them is huge. The black and white thinking that comes as part of the Autistic/Asperger’s mindset can be a benefit to certain areas of life, however, it can cause problems in some relationships. Having the empathic understanding from someone you want to be close with is key to making a relationship work and Autistic Empathy is the app designed to meet those people.

The first encounter is an important one for both people and having someone who thinks in a similar way can often be the reason if it works or not. This app cuts out a lot of the social dance that comes with mainstream dating/friendship apps and makes meeting people easier. To keep all our members safe, we have adopted a safety-first approach to building the app and there are clear guidelines for meeting up.

The management of the app is run by qualified autism-specialist counsellors and a helpline is provided if, for whatever reason, a difficulty is encountered when using the app. Also, the app provides generic advice for both friendship and dating that is available for all members to be able to access.
